Teak Show

At the Leicester Comedy Festival there are many treats to behold and so many hidden gems it makes me wish I could split myself like a worm so I could see everything. With only a few days to go until the festival is all over I thought I would try and reccomend a show a day to see so you get the most for your money. Sadly such delights as the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre have been on and gone, these fellows had me laughing from one joke that I pretty much missed the rest of the show.

Any way thats enough about shows that have gone, I insist you go and see Teakshow’s Twisted sketches tonight and tomorrow at the Gillded Balloon in the City Rooms. This is an odd set of surreal sketches that have so much atmosphere that it keeps you hooked as the wierd couple move through worlds of sexual repression, 18th Century hooligans, obnoxious Euro trash and tales of murder. There is a distinct flavour of the Leage of Gentlmen to this two some with a healthy dose of Rocky Horror put into the mix to make this an excpetional choice to spend your pretty pennies on.

They are on tonight and tomorrow at 6.30.

Oooooo also go see UFI tonight at the basement at 9 where you can catch our very own Mr. Morgan and his improv comedy friends all for the bargain price of £4.

Add thoughts and feelings about the show just below and dont forget to read the Leicester Comedy Festival Blog where you can follow myself and others involved int he festival and our journey through the world of comedy.
