Michael Crichton

Swept up in the excitement and constant coverage of the US’s brand spanking new president elect I almost missed the fact that a writer whose work I admire and love very much has died today after a battle with cancer.

Michael Crichton, for those who don’t know, was a best selling writer who penned classics such as Disclosure and Jurassic Park and who also was the creator of tv series ER. I’m very sad to learn that he’s gone, and we can only hope that his agents will choose to publish his last novel posthumously.
